Hotel Restaurant Kern in Idstein

We were there tonight for the caravan dinner. Here you get your food brought to your own RV. Ordered the menu beforehand and it started on time! There was a nice candle and a delicious aperitif beforehand. The dishes were served on warmed plates with a beautiful cloth napkin. So it was super cozy with a restaurant feeling. The waitresses were very nice and clearly enjoyed what they were doing. You can choose from 2 menus and there is also something delicious for vegetarians! The parking lot was full and hungry campers used the varied offer. We enjoyed it very much and we will be happy to come back. In the evening it is particularly romantic with candlelight and dimmed lights. But a lunch menu is also available. A heartfelt thank you to the team at Gasthof Kern in Idstein, for a varied evening and this great idea !!!!

We were there today for the candle light dinner with our mobile home. It was just great. A super friendly welcome from a super nice team. The food was served warm and really tasty to our camper. 3 courses lovingly prepared including a welcome drink. And you can tell how much love is behind it. Such a great change at this time. Highly Recommended.

We were here for the first time for the motorhome dinner. We were enthusiastic about the nice welcome, the good service and the three-course menu. The leg of goose with red cabbage, dumplings and a fantastic sauce were a pleasure. We will be back after Corona too.

We had a motorhome dinner here yesterday, so we enjoyed inside our motorhome. An excellent three-course menu, very, very nice staff who brought the food right to the door of the motorhome. We will definitely come again, hopefully when the Corona time is over and we can do it in the RESTAURANT.

Motorhome Dinner: Unusual offer at unusual times. Drive there with the motorhome and have the food brought to the vehicle. That was really great, tasted delicious and the service was top under the given conditions. Unreservedly recommendable.

Great service at the Womo candlelight dinner. Food tastes great and attractively presented. Hosts tried very hard for the well-being of the guests. The yard is also nicely arranged, everything looks super cozy! We can only warmly recommend this dinner option at a really extraordinary time!

A reduced menu, but good cuisine, especially the veal schnitzel (Viennese) But also other interesting dishes. Overall, you can eat well here. The hotel is "old-fashioned", rustic in character, with a nice inner courtyard, in a village atmosphere.

Super friendly people. Great garden restaurant in the courtyard. All clean. The food is excellent. Our motorcycles were allowed to spend the night in the yard. Thank you again for the nice evening and the pleasant night. We would love to come back.

In principle, the food is very tasty, unfortunately the service is not always friendly, which has spoiled the evening. In addition, the kitchen is actually open until 9 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. we were only grudgingly accepted

Positively surprised. Nice courtyard. Food was very good. We have lived in the area for about 13 years and have (unfortunately) only been here for the first time now. The green sauce was delicious. I highly recommend it.

Getting late, tired and hungry so looked on Google for somewhere to stay. First sight of Kern confirmed that I had struck gold in this most charming and attractive village. The room offered was spacious, well furnished and immaculate ... sumptuous bed pillows guaranteed an unbroken night's sleep ! Family run and proud of it. Excellent dining off a wide menu. Very good breakfast table. Charming and most helpful staff. A delightful experience. I often make 2,500 Km journeys past them. I will DEFINITELY make them my 1st choice for stopping overnight in future.

The guest house is brilliant. Very clean and tidy rooms. The Kern family are very friendly and welcoming. 6 stars!
